Embarkation Day

We woke up at 8am this morning with the one goal of getting to Southampton to board the cruise. From our hotel we taxied to a main train station. After a short wait we boarded a train that headed south almost to the English Chanel and then west to Southampton. It was about two hours. Once outside the outskirts of London the countryside was very picturesque. Sheep in green pastures, swans and other wildlife, and even a couple deer were spotted. The sun came out along the way also.

Boarding was super smooth … it doesn’t feel like very many people are on the ship. We had lunch, took a nap, went up on deck as we shoved off, and then sat in a lounge for a while.

We played a quick game of ping pong …

Our dinner is at 8pm so we went back to our room to get dressed at 6pm. We might do trivia or karaoke before dinner … Kristi is dying to karaoke. 🤪

We’ll be at sea for a few days so no cell service.  The captain informed us tomorrow could be rough … 😳
Next post will be from Cadiz, Spain.
